Guerlain and Pucci come together this summer to bring us the Terra Azzurra Summer 2012 collection and I couldn’t be more elated. Next to the Chanel summer collection, the Guerlain-Pucci collaboration is a must-have in my beauty black book!
Take a peek at this very limited edition (that’s code for act quick if you’re interested) collection of summer stunners…
Terra Azzurra Bronzing Powder and Blush: The “star” of the collection is a bronzer/blush housed in a dark wood mirrored compact, a Pucci carrying pouch and what I’m told is a delicious Tiare flower aroma. $75
Guerlain By Emilio Pucci Météorites Perles D’azur Illuminating Powder – Pure Radiance. Pearl spheres of blue, pink, beige, orange, ivory, gold. Sounds gorgeous! $59
Guerlain By Emilio Pucci Powder Brush comes in it’s own Pucci print pouch. $43
Guerlain By Emilio Pucci Écrin 4-Couleurs Eye Shadow in Capri #13. I could stare at this quad for days! $59
Guerlain’s Khol Kajal in #02 Blu Acqua: This is my personal “star” of the collection and I have never been more excited for an eye product as I am this one! $36
Creme Coral Paradisio and Shimmery Indigo Blue Riviera. They both look beautiful but I’m leaning towards the blue. $22
Guerlain Terracotta Glosses: Porto Fino (coral), Porto Ercole (spicy brown), and Porto Azzurro (indigo blue which I hear is very sheer on lips) $30.50
Guerlain By Emilio Pucci Le 2 De Guerlain Mascara in 14 Blu 2 Pucci $36
Availability: Collection (except polishes and glosses) are available at sephora.com now. Official launch is middle of May at select counters.
The Pucci print and all that beautiful blue…this may very well be my collection pick of the season! As soon as Sephora has all the items in stock (pending at the moment) I’ll share my beauty buys with you.

It’s rare for me not to jump up and down when a new Dior collection (or product) is announced. But for the past couple of weeks I’ve had seesaw feelings about the upcoming Dior Croisette Summer Color 2012 collection. Will I or won’t I?
Surprisingly, there are only a couple of pieces from the collection I’m excited about, and that’s unusual for me. Let me show you what’s coming up…
5-Color Croisette Eyeshadow Palette: Swimming Pool #224 (warm blue, sand, nude pink tones) and Aurora #654 (warm gold, bronze, brown tones) $59/US. I’m not sure I’ll be picking up either palette! The pastels may be too light and the warm palette may resemble shades I already own. I’ll definitely need to see these in person before I decide fully.
Couleur Eye Gloss (a gel formula): Azur, Sunset, Seashell, Tan $28/US (Tan and Seashell are Sephora exclusives). I’ll pick up at least one (maybe two) since this is a new product to the Dior beauty range.
Dior Addict Ultra Gloss: Orange Sari, Rose Croisette, Brun Panama, Aube $28/US. The past couple of summer collections launched with the Glow Ultra Gloss finish – they’re not my favorites. If any of these have the Pearl finish, I’m all over them!
Update 4/6/12: I just learned the Ultra Gloss finish for this collection are all Flash meaning they are glittery and slightly more pigmented (only slightly) than the Glow finish.
Dior Addict Lipstick: Palace, Casual, Jet Set $30/US. Palace has me intrigued. What about you?
Dior Addict Lip Balm: Crystal, Crystal Coral (Sephora Excluisve), Coral Rose $30/US
Dior Vernis: Bikini (don’t you just love the name!) and St. Tropez (this one will be a fast sell out) $23/US, Diorshow Waterproof Liner in Turquoise #258 (not at Sephora) $29/US
Availability: Dior counters around mid-April (some counters are already showing the collection). Sephora (many items already available online)
Is anything calling your name? This may be a tiny beauty buy from me…we’ll see.

Although I don’t have many details, I just had to share photos of the upcoming Chanel Summer 2012 collection. I took a peek at the line-up list today while visiting my local Chanel counter and I predict the polish from this collection, Delight, will sell out in a snap!
As I get more details, I’ll tweet them so if you’re not following me on Twitter, link to my account here and be sure to say hi.
The bronzers and polish in Delight are on my beauty watch list. What about you? Anything you’re lusting over?

Disney will forever hold a special place in my heart but not for the reasons you might think… It was because of Disney that I first heard of Kurt Russell. He starred in loads of Disney movies (it’s reported he had a ten-year contract with Disney – huge deal for a young actor) but my favorite was The Secret of Boyne Castle. I could go on and on about Kurt, the huge crush I had on him and his muscles small and big screen accomplishments but this is a post about polish!
I’m not the only one taking a trip down memory lane because this summer, OPI is getting nostalgic by releasing the Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection and can I just say…I feel like a kid again. The collection is said to land on counters this summer, around June. It’s a small collection which means I may need to make some room for this quartet of pinks (pinks!) on my vanity:
Left to Right: Nothin Mousie Bout It, I’m all Ears (how cute is that name?!), If you Moust You Moust, The Color of Minnie
Will you be sporting pink this summer? I’m all in!

I was thrilled to receive the Tarte Miracle of Maracuja 8-piece Collection today – and yes, I gave the UPS man a proper thanks. Since I only just received the kit I haven’t had time to test or play with anything but wanted to give you a close-up look at what came in the collection:
Is this boxed shadow in Envoke the Smoke cute or what?!!!
The texture of this Airblush Maracuja Bouncy Blush in Amused is bananas!
Maracuja Divine Shine Lip Gloss in Peaceful. I adore this packaging…girlie and screams spring.
Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara and Cashmere Waterproof Gliding Liner in Black Magic
Airblush Finish Bamboo Blush Brush – feels extremely soft.
Left to Right: Peaceful, Amused swatched heavily and blended (on far right)
Left to Right: Pink Cloud, Silver Mist, Purple Fog, Dark Ash,
Also included in the kit:
•Maracuja Creaseless Concealer
•Pure Maracuja Oil, 1 oz
Did you get your kit from QVC? The item number is A220216 and although the special day pricing is gone, it’s still a pretty good value. I can tell you from the swatches alone, this is a fantastic kit to own!

I’ve always admired Madonna. From her days as the “material girl” and all her creative incarnations in between. What I most appreciate about Madonna is her style, smarts and artistic daring. She’s one of those celebrities you either like or you don’t – there’s nothing middle ground about this woman. In a way, I suppose that is what I admire the most…she lives her life in an all or nothing way.
When I heard Madonna was launching a fragrance I thought, it’s about time! I mean if Paris Hilton and Puff Daddy have their names affixed to bottles and bottles of fragrant juice (both sell quite well I’m told), why shouldn’t our material girl break her like a virgin status and get in on that action.
When WWD asked Madge what inspired the notes in her new Truth or Dare perfume range, she replied “my oldest memory of my mother is her perfume. She always smelled like gardenias and tuberose, an intoxicating mixture [that was] feminine and mysterious. I wanted to re-create this scent, but with something fresh and new about it as well. Something honest and yet daring, hence the name Truth or Dare.”
(L-R) Truth or Dare Eau de Parfum: 1 oz $39, 1.7 oz $55, 2.5 oz $68, Lotion 6.7 oz $28, Shower Gel 6.7 oz $24. Available exclusively at Macy’s in April, nationwide in May.
It’s said the fragrance opens with top notes of gardenia, creamy tuberose and neroli and are followed by heart notes of jasmine, benzoin and white lily. Described as a refined and handsomely seductive floral, it’s anchored with vanilla absolute, caramelized amber and sensual musk.
If you’re anxious to give this white monastic styled bottle an early spritz Macy’s is taking pre-orders for it now (Truth or Dare is expected to ship in April from Macy’s then made available elsewhere in May). For me, this is definitely a celebrity fragrance I won’t dare buy scent unsmelled. Although I’m rooting for its success, spinning the bottle on this one could result in a disappointing buy.
❤Liz
P.S. Truth or Dare is the first product of a complete lifestyle brand Madonna is slated to expand in 2013 that will include shoes, accessories and intimates…I just hope pointed bras aren’t part of the line up.
I’ve been hearing about the NEW Pure Color blushes – Tom Pecheux, Estée Lauder Creative Director, latest color creation – for months now. Today, I got an email that the blushes are now available at esteelauder.com. Many counters are already showing off the vibrant shimmer and satin finish beauties…is it possible I feel asleep at the beauty wheel, having not peeked these sooner? I do believe a weekend stroll down the cosmetic counter aisles are in order.
Karen, of the Makeup and Beauty Blog, took some marvelous photos of a few shades…they are so beautifully vibrant!
Have you spotted the new blushes in your area? What shade must I absolutely pick up?
Availability: Estée Lauder counters
Price: $28/US

On a rainy, windy, overcast day like today nothing feels as good as swiping on a brand spanking new lipstick! I’ve been anxious to try the new Dior Addict Extreme formulation which boasts a wet look texture, amongst other things:
“At the heart of this new soft, sensual texture lie 4 specialist waxes, acting in a targeted manner to correctly combine these extremes in a single formula. This veritable technical feat achieves perfect hold, comfort, and shine in an astonishingly fine film” ~Dior website
Compared to the Dior Addict formulation, the Extreme’s feel less slick and yet (as claimed) do offer a glossy wet effect. So far – and this is with very limited testing time – they feel comfortable on my lips and offer rich color without being overtly bold. I haven’t had the chance to wear each beyond an hour so I’ll report back with my thoughts on each shades wear, impact and overall smoochability.
In the meantime, here are a few photos:
Incognito #316 (a mauve-brown). This was not the shade I ordered and I’m not sure I’m going to like this – anything that leans brown doesn’t work well against my skin tone and coloring. To smooch or not to smooch, that is the question!
Lucky #536 (a bright pink): This shade was inspired by Kate Moss and named after of Christian Dior’s favorite iconic models from the 1950′s.
Riviera #639 (a bright coral).
Left to Right: Riviera, Lucky, Incognito (photo taken indoors). You can see in this photo how glossy they are and although Riviera and Lucky are bright, they are very wearable.

There’s nothing more satisfying than buying a well configured makeup kit. You know, the kind you pick up at places like Ulta or even QVC. It’s how I’ve experienced many brands for the first time – those little kits are often packed with brand showstoppers – and replenished loved products at a very good value.
This afternoon, just as I was about to call it a day, I got an email from Tarte announcing an upcoming kit available on March 16th on QVC. You can bet I jumped in on this one (early too) because many of the items are worldwide launches and several are long-time favorites.
I couldn’t let the day go by without letting you know about it in the event you’ve never tried Tarte or simply want to get in early on this great deal. Here’s what’s in the Miracle of Maracuja 8-piece Skin Smart kit, item #A225240 (auto-delivery):

If you’ve never tried the Maracuja Creaseless Waterproof Concealer you really must! In fact, I’ll review it in the next couple of days (before Friday March 16th) so you have a little more information to help you make a more informed decision about the kit. I also use the Maracuja Oil and the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara – I like both very well. The oil is not a staple item for me (the mascara is however) but a 1.7 oz size comes in the kit and sells for about $46…the math is good! I’ve grown quite fond of Tarte blushes so the new airbrush blush has me intrigued.
I ordered this kit as an auto-delivery item with refills of the concealer, mascara and oil plus all new color products shipped to me again in July and November. Before I forget, the kit sells for about $60 (plus shipping & any tax) and is on a 3-payment plan if you’re watching your pennies this month. Will you be joining in the Tarte festivities this Friday?
Hubby is under the weather today so I’m off to play nurse.
