Coming Attractions: Bobbi Brown Rose Gold Goodies

posted by Liz |@beautyblkbook

I just picked up these two beauties from the NEW Bobbi Brown Rose Gold collection.  I’ll be playing with them the next few days and will report back.  In the meantime, let the drooling begin!

There are two shimmer bricks in this collection.  I chose Rose Gold and am SO tempted to also pick up the Wild Rose. ($39)

Several lipsticks and glosses are included in the collection.  I chose Pink Gold – a neutral soft beige/pink.  There’s a slight minty taste and I’m loving the new doe foot applicator! ($23)

Left to Right: Each shimmer strip swatched individually.  Last swatch are all strips blended together.  To the Right of that is a swatch of the Pink Gold gloss.

Availability: Bobbi Brown counters (limited edition)

I got these same 2 items. They are both truly awesome. Rose Gold is my first shimmer brick and I’m loving it.

I think my first Bobbi Brown purchase was a shimmer brick? And the rest, as they say, is history. Ah, the memories. ;-) I’m in love with both of these and know I’ll be wearing them loads the entire year!

I am an nw35 and have the regular bronze shimmer brick however it doesn’t show up on my skin! Is this normal?!? Argh!

I haven’t tried the bronze shimmer brick but I know with some, the color pop isn’t there…you get more of a shimmery sheen from them. The Rose Gold I picked up, for example, doesn’t impart loads of color (Im an NC20) but it does give me a subtle hint of rosy gold goodness. The way I use this kind of shimmer brick is across my cheeks (like I would a blush) and then I layer a blush (any shade) on the apples and blend towards my temple. The combo gives the pretties sheen to my skin with the added color boost from the blush. There are other shimmer bricks that give you lots of color; Nectar is one I have that I use carefully because it is intense in color. Actually, Nectar might be a pretty one for you to try of you like warm peaches/coral. Hope this helps!
