Most Loved List: April 2012
I don’t know about you, but April was a whirlwind month. Between drastic fluxes in weather and a flurried release of summer collections, it was an all systems go 30 days!
But no matter the ups (and downs) each day brought, I had a few select products I turned to again and again. Here are those items I gave much love to in the month of April…
Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Triple Lighting Foundation Powder, Misa Choboyang BB Cream, Eve Pearl Powder Puff: This month, I’ve kept skin simple, and fresh. One of my favorite BB creams that I use as a primer (I apply this under virtually all foundations) the Choboyang BB Cream gives me nice coverage and with a touch of Koh Gen Do foundation pressed into the skin, I achieve a near flawless looking complexion.
MAC Powder Blush in Immortal Flower and Peony Petal, MAC In Extra Dimension MSF in Whisper of Gilt: I started using this trio towards the end of March and haven’t stopped! The combination of Immortal Flower and Peony Petal give my cheeks dimension and a healthy flush of color. Combined with Whisper of Gilt (underneath my blush) I get the added benefit of subtle sheen. Love them!
MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in What a Blast, Dior Addict Jet Set, Maybelline Strike a Posy Lipstick, Rimmel East End Snob Lip Pencil: These are the two lip combinations I’ve worn again and again. If you read my review, you know I’m gaga for Jet Set. The next time you’re at your local drugstore, make a bee-line for the Maybelline Spring collection display, Strike a Posy is a beauty black book summer must-have!
Guerlain by Emilio Pucci 4-Shadow Palette in Capri, L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara, Dior Eye Gloss in Tan, Dior 5-Shadow Palette in Swimming Pool, Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Duo Pencil: I’ve been all about bright eyes and pastels in April. You can read my reviews on both the Guerlain Capri and Dior Swimming Pool shadow palettes if you want to check out specifics. The Telescopic mascara, as a stand alone product, doesn’t float my boat but as a layering product…it works wonders!
Bond No 9 I Love New York for Earth Day, Philosophy Summer Grace: Samples are a wonderful way to experience and immerse yourself in a fragrance and I did just that in April with the new Bond No 9 I Love NY Earth Day – if you like tuberose, you may want to check it out (by the way, I like it so much I’ve got my order in for a bottle). Last year, I picked up Summer Grace and adore the clean, soft, feminine aroma – this is a good one to spray your sheets and pillow with on warm summer nights.
I don’t have cable therefore I don’t watch “television.” However, I did get turned on to this hysterical sitcom that has me in stitches with each episode. I had to include How I Met Your Mother in my Most Loved list because there’s nothing I love more than a good laugh…in 20 minute increments (thanks Netflix!).
What made it onto your Most Loved List for April? I’d love to know!
