Sitting at my vanity the other day, I had the urge to paint my eyes in a combination that made them look sultry, mysterious and exotic.  I was wearing my hair in a loose top knot, a burned out, slightly over sized t-shirt, low slung jeans and silver square-shaped hoops – a pretty uneventful outfit that needed major oomph!  Enter the Clarins Enchanted Summer Color Quartet and Liner palette.

With only a few sweeps of color on my eyelids, I transformed a drab outfit into a fab (exotic, slightly bohemian) look!  There’s so much I love about this palette I hardly know where to begin but it wouldn’t be a proper review if I didn’t share details:

1. Enchanted is a show-stopping quartet of very well pigmented eyeshadows and a fifth luminous shadow that is intended for use as an eyeliner (although I’ve also used it in the crease and it looks just as beautiful).

2. They wear for well over seven hours with no fading or creasing.

3.  I experienced no powdery mess or fall out.

4. The texture of these shadows are buttery smooth and leave a flirty bit of sheen on the eyes.

Here are a few more details…

The intricate detail work on the Enchanted Summer Color Quartet and Liner Palette is said to be inspired by travels to India.

It really is a beautiful presentation and if you like to travel with your palettes, this one is light-weight without feeling skimpy.

Each of the five shadows have a different design/pattern embossed on them and were inspired by saris.  The designs do fade the more you use them however.

Each shadow applies smoothly, blends and layers easily.  The striking combination of bronze, brown, gold and purple are  wearable on almost everyone – this is probably one of my all-time favorite color combinations too!

From the quartet of shadows, all but the purple have a subtle sheen/shimmer (in the pan the shadows have micro fine glitter particles but it is more of a light overspray that goes away quickly).  The purple shadow has a satin finish and the fifth, deep brown-gold liner, has a subtle luminous finish.

I’ve enjoyed how easy these shadows (my first Clarins shadows, but not my last!) are to work with and especially like the bohemian feel of the color combination and the easy, sultry, statement eyes I achieve when I wear them.
