What kind of beauty week did you have? I’ll tell you mine and would love it if you’d share yours with me below. Here we go…
1. Beauty barometer?
Sizzling!
2. Beauty buy gone bad?
I actually did pretty good this week and had no disappointments.
3. Beauty buy surprise?
Revlon Colorstay 16-hour Eyeshadows. Look into them!
4. Hair?
Just had my hair touched up (roots, highlights, color lock) and have been showing off my tresses with sleek, straight hair.
5. Fragrance?
The NEW L’eau de Chloe
6. Foundation?
Showing some love to my Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage foundation.
7. Nails?
Having trouble with my cuticles (they’re SO dry). Josie Maran Argan Oil has helped but I’m on the hunt for something I can carry in my bag that’s not messy. Suggestions are welcome.
8. Mascara?
I’m finally using products I picked up from a Mally Beauty kit I got from QVC a while back. Her Volumizing mascara give me full, flirty, shazam lashes.
9. Lipstick?
I can’t get enough of Tarte’s Lip Surgence Lip Tint in Charmed.
10. Feel good moment of the week?
It felt beyond good to have my husband so close to home this week. We had breakfast together each day and kissed one another goodnight each evening. I’ll miss this when our schedules get back to “normal”…

I’m doing something this weekend I haven’t done in ages…I’m going to the shooting range! Don’t let the makeup, heels and highlights fool you. I’m a female Dirty Harry but with a lot more flare.

Happy Feel Good Friday!
I got up early today for appointments, to run a few errands and feel surprisingly energized – and that’s without caffeine! The sun is shining and although there’s a crispness in the air it’s an anything is possible kind of day.
But before I start rambling about today, let me share my week-end view in beauty…
1. Beauty Barometer?
Feeling spunky all week!
2. Lipstick combo?
Revlon Carnation Pink with MAC Woo Me Kissable Lip Colour
3. Fragrance?
Laura Mercier Neroli EDP (heaven!)
4. Most anticipated beauty buy?
Lipsticks from the MAC Shop/Cook collection specifically Innocence Beware (one of my favorite nudes) Watch Me Simmer (I predict this a sell out from the collection) and Quick Sizzle. My order is already placed and I’ll either tackle or kiss the UPS guy when it arrives. Either way, he’ll be stoked!
5. Biggest surprise/revelation of the week (beauty related)?
Drugstore makeup! They aren’t horsing around this year so watch for beautiful packaging, budget friendly prices and high-end caliber quality.
6. Biggest surprise/revelation of the week (non-beauty related)?
Red velvet cupcakes don’t sit well with me…sad surprise.

Hair! Between the Color Lock process and my Brazilian Blowout Smoothing Serum, my hair has never looked or felt so good.
8. Most exciting beauty buy of the month?
L’Oreal Infallible 24-Hour Eyeshadows. O-M-G!
9. What I’m reading?
Just started book one of the Hunger Games.
10. Feel good moment?
While waiting for my Starbucks at the drive through window the young (and might I add pretty darned cute) 25 year old barista not only flirted with me, he actually gave me the While You Were Sleeping lean in. Ahem. Yeah, I felt pretty darned good! Grrr….
The image of Zoya polish and headband above are from a purchase I made at a local boutique I’ve fallen in love with called SWAK. They don’t sell Zoya (I bought those on a separate trip the same day) but I did pick up the pretty knit headband complete with jewel colored stones and peacock feather…and a few other pretties.
I’m mentioning SWAK because when I got home and opened my package, I found everything wrapped in white tissue sealed with the sticker message below..
I was wearing on of my SWAK purchases while at Starbucks (see #10 above) so their warning label is no joke!

I have some writing to do today, a workout that I’m sort of looking forward to (weird) and then design work in my studio. What are your plans?
