You probably won’t believe me when I tell you this but I’ve never been much into eye shadows, loose pigments, eye liners, etc.
Seriously!
I’ve been all about the face and lips for AGES and eye products were about the necessities like brows, mascara and a sweep of neutral color. I know, weird huh?
Anyway, about a year or so ago I fell in love with doing up my eyes. I suppose this was symbolic of my desire (at that time in my life – and today) to express myself more fully and as they say, the eyes are the windows to the soul...
So as I hopped on the expression bandwagon I began to toy with eyeshadows and a variety of tame – and not so tame – eye looks. My conclusion after all this experimentation was…
What was I waiting for?!!
There’s nothing more empowering (as far as makeup is concerned) than donning an expressive eye look be it that of winged out cat or an atomic explosion of well blended color. A bold red lip says plenty but a well defined and artisticly maneuverd eye look speaks with the volume on high!

When I stumbled upon the Sugarpill website it was like shopping in a virtual candy store. Their colors are well pigmented, vibrant, bright and expressive. Definitely not for the feint of heart.
Before I get into what I chose to add to my beauty black book, let me give you the 411 on the company…
Sugarpill launched in 2010 and includes a line of bright, vibrant, well pigment eye shadows (loose and in pan), and outrageously glam lashes. I’m not certain if they are a 100% vegan company but I can tell you the items I purchased all have a vegan, and cruelty free stamp (gotta’ love that).
I chose three of their newest ChromaLust loose shadows in Darling (a glorious teal with teal sparkles…I’m giddy just looking at this color), Magentric (this vibrant magenta is paired with turquoise…you’ve gotta have this!) and Stella (black with multicolored sparkle…what else can a girl ask for).
Can I just say…me likey!
They apply so easily and as important as that is in a shadow it’s the color vibrancy that makes Sugarpill’s shadows a stand out in my little black beauty books opinion.
Take a look at the swatches (although in person they are so much more beautiful) to see what I mean…

Will I be adding more Sugarpill in my life? Um…I think it’s exactly what the doctor ordered!
What about you? Have you tried this line yet? What are some of your favorite shades?
