On Sunday, hubby and I spent the day in San Francisco – the drive was about two hours each way – to see Cirque du Soleil. The performance called Totem, was so spectacular my hands hurt from all the clapping!! I’ll share more about what may very well be the best performance to date in a later post.
And although I’m a couple of days late with the Weekend Roundup, I couldn’t let the week go by without posting my picks for best in beauty.

•I spied a gorgeous holiday face palette at Best Things in Beauty from Clarins. I love their skincare but have yet to delve into their color line Might this be my first venture, hmmm…
•Cafe Makeup posted photos previewing the entire NARS Holiday 2011 collection. Feast your eyes…especially on the Hanamichi palette. Yikes!
•Over at Messy Wands, I saw photos of the new Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill cream shadow and am mere moments away from placing my order! Be sure to check out the 20% F&F promo code too.
•Although it seems a little silly to be eyeing spring collections when we’re just immersing ourselves in holiday festivities, but I couldn’t resist sharing snaps of the Dior Sprng 2012 collection. Have your wallets at the ready!
•If you’ve ever wondered about Elizabeth Ardens most coveted, and classic products look no further than Fab Over Forty who shares the brands top 5 must-haves.
•Jennine’s post, at Beauty Sweet Spot, about Dr. Dennis Gross has me a little more than curious to investigate this skincare line. Just think, winter weary skin polished to perfection in one swipe. Are you curious too?
•If you’re a shoe maven I urge you to check out the incredible Real People, Real Closets post at Everything Fabulous. I’m still reeling with delight from the jolt this post gave me (as a shoe lover, you’ll know what I mean).
I’m reflecting this week on all I am grateful for this year, and you play a big part! Thank you for your support, encouragement and for sharing your love of makeup (and all things beautiful) with me.

This has been some week!
Hurricane Irene was on everyone’s minds and with good reason. While her fury wasn’t as great as many anticipated, she did do irreversible damage to some. My thoughts, prayers and heart are with those that are in the thick of it, have experienced loss and are figuring out their next steps.
In the world of all things beautiful, it was business as usual – you really can’t keep a good beauty maven down – and so many of my favorite blogging buddies and new loves put their blogging pedal to the metal.
Get Lippie was invited to the press launch for the new Tom Ford collection. I was beside myself when I saw her behind-the-scene pix of what we can expect in the next couple of months. Be prepared to drool a little.
The Rouge Allure Velvets are coming! And thanks to Notes From My Beauty Life, we now have a couple of pix and lip swatches to get all warm and fuzzy over – #34 has a special place in my heart…just sayin’.
I haven’t shopped Shiseido in ages and Best Things in Beauty has given me about a dozen good reasons to give them a serious drive-by. The Shimmering Cream Eye Colors she features look scrumptious (and the promo image is a stunner).
If you like highlighters as much as I do, then you’ll definitely want to peek at the Beauty Look Book. Sabrina does a wonderful comparison of top highlighters for fall 2011. I’m missing one it seems…
Blue eyeshadow is no longer the makeup faux pas of years past. No, no. See what I mean in my Beauty Black Book review of Chanel Les 4 Ombres quad in Lagons – you’ll see blue in a whole new light…really!
My thirst for beautiful decor was quenched after taking a pleasant glance at the subtly eclectic office glam photos Everything Fabulous took of the who what wear fashion offices. Makes me want to redecorate all over again!
