Do you remember that show the Crocodile Hunter?  It’s the one where this wildlife expert (Steve Irwin) scours the globe looking for unique crocs (gators) to wrestle with and educate us about.

As I was experimenting with the Giorgio Armani Jacquard Eye Palette in #1 I felt a little like the Makeup Hunter…

When the palette was first generating buzz I was on a ferocious internet hunt.  Day in and day out, I circled the web like a beauty buzzard (lol!) and even left my name with a counter in another state to be sure I wouldn’t miss out.

Finally, when I caught my makeup prey I shouted from the depths of my soul…crikey!

The hunt was a thrill but the palette itself is a joy to own.  From the beautifully textured jacquard pattern, to the two shadow duos in shades of frosty green, the neutral highlight shade and deep purple (great for crease work and/or liner) heck, even the outside packaging is sleek and refined.

But what makes this palette special is the unique Color-Fil™ technology which offers soft, smooth and long-wearing color.  It’s light enough to easily layer and blend giving you the flexibility to wear a sheer wash of color or a more intense look.

And speaking of looks, you can do so much with this palette.  But don’t just take my word for it, check out The Glitter Geek who featured 5-distinct (and super cool) ways to wear this palette.  There are probably 5 additional ways you can wear it (I’ve already come up with a few more), the palette is that versatile!

I’m beyond thrilled with the Giorgio Armani Jacquard Eye Palette in #1.  This is one product that was worth the hunt!

Availability: Major department stores where Giorgio Armani is sold (limited edition alert!)

Price: $59

5/5 Smooches: A light wash of color on warm days, deeper for cool nights…it’s a desert island must!
