During summer months, I prefer light fabrics and light feeling makeup. That’s why I prefer to wear glossy finish lipsticks versus a heavier finish like that of a matte. But when I heard Chanel had a new online exclusive (limited edition) Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick I immediately placed my order!
Unlike many matte lipsticks that feel drying, look heavy and sometimes cake on the lips, I find the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet formulation to feel silky smooth, surprisingly hydrating, light in texture, yet gives me an opaque full color pout!
As soon as I receive the new shade, La Distinguée – described as a peach-pink – I’ll be sure to share photos and swatches with you. In the meantime, do you wear matte lipsticks in the summer or do you prefer a sheer, light finish on lips?
