I was about to wrap things up for the day but I didn’t want to end the week without showing you the three polishes from Les Jeans de Chanel.

Holy acid wash, these polishes are beyond beautiful!

Before I show you the shades, there are a couple of things you might want to know…

First, this is a limited edition, denim inspired collection created by Peter Philips, Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, to celebrate this years Fashions Night Out.

Blue Rebel is a deep creamy blue, similar to the inky dye used to create dark-wash jeans – an iconic staple in any modern woman’s wardrobe.  Coco Blue is a light blue with iridescence (the color is much better than I expected!). It’s a sophisticated blue that is as effortlessness as a favorite pair of softly faded jeans. Blue Boy is a creamy medium blue.  Chanel equates this shade with wearing the cool of jeans and heels.

The shades are inspired by the quintessence of casual chic, denim.  From the deep medium of Blue Boy, the light blue of Coco Blue to the deep blue of Blue Rebel, Les Jeans has a “wash” of denim to suit just your taste.

This casually luxe trio arrived yesterday so I can’t comment on the wear but if it’s anything like other Chanel polishes, it won’t disappoint.

Do I recommend these?  I bet my bell bottoms you’ll like at least one…or two…or three. ;-)

Availability: Select Neiman Marcus counters, chanel.com (limited edition)
Price: $29, .4 oz

5/5 Smooches:  Go paint the town (or island) blue!

I recently registered for an art class and plan on immersing myself in art projects this weekend.  What are your plans?

Soon to arrive in the pages of my Beauty Black Book are the Les Jeans de Chanel polish collection.  You knew I couldn’t resist these polishes, right?

The collection is limited edition and created exclusively for Fashions Night Out 2011.  I’ll show you swatches soon but in the meantime, if you don’t want to miss out be sure to visit chanel.com (you might also find the collection at select Chanel boutiques and some Neiman Marcus doors).

And to offer you a little nail-tertainment, check out the cheeky, new video from Chanel.

This past week we saw one month end and another begin.  Can you believe it’s already September?!

Time certainly does fly…

And the beauty industry has been abuzz in preparation for FNO and fashion week – fashion and makeup do go hand in hand don’t they…:

Like the Silver Odyssey collection NARS created especially for Fashion Night Out.  Karen at the Makeup and Beauty Blog showed beautiful photos of this sparkly, silvery creation – this duo reminds me of two things 1) David Bowie and 2) Disco!

I know I’m not the only one foaming at the pout waiting for Chanel’s FNO contribution; the much anticipated Les Jeans de Chanel collection.  I know for a fact there are many of us counting down until the 9/8/2011 launch.  Just check out Aussie Girls blog for the official countdown clock (this may be  more exciting than watching the New Years ball drop!)…

Temptalia got her hands on Urban Decay’s 4th Book of Shadows installment.  Besides offering beautiful shadows, they’ve found a way to package technology and beauty in one palette. I’m still on the fence about this release but it’s definitely worth checking out.

It seems to be a nail focused sort of week because The Ultimate Makeup also featured polishes, this time from the Le Metier De Beauty Bordeaux Collection by Ken Downing.  She features swatches of the entire collection and they look truly marvelous!

The Beauty Look Book scooped up several of the new Tom Ford collection lipsticks and shares beautiful swatches.  The shade Pink Adobe has made it on my wish list ;-)

I recently learned the #1 look MUA’s are asked to create is a smokey eye.  Well, yours truly reviewed the Too Faced Smokey Eye Palette and can I just say…your search for the perfect smokey palette may very well be over!

Today’s post wouldn’t be complete without a touch of fashion….fall fashion that is.  Elements of Style is looking forward to fall as much as I am and compiled a few key must have’s for this fall season.  Cape anyone?

If you’re in the states, enjoy your Labor Day celebrations and have a beauty-filled week!
