Earlier in the year, I heard rumblings that Dior was about to start a purple revolution with a range of polishes called Les Violets Hypnotiques. When I later learned the collection was to also include a 3-shadow smoky eye palette, gloss and mascara I was ready to channel Prince himself!
Before I was informed Nordstrom would carry the complete Purple Revolution collection for their anniversary sale, I purchased the collection from my favorite Dior diva (Anelia) at the Las Vegas boutique, (702)-734-1102.
Take a quick peek at the collection and stay tuned because I’ll be playing with some looks over the next few days and will report back with a review and additional photos of the polishes and shadow palette.

The swatch above appears brown but it is in fact plum with a burgundy-brown base. By the way, this is one of my favorite mascara formulations (it’s trumped my beloved Diorshow original)!
Dior Vernis Les Violets Hypnotiques in Orchid (981), Shadow (783) and Poison (996), $23/each
Left to Right: Orchid, Shadow, Poison. Gorgeous! Shadow (look at that shimmer! it’s subtle but stunning) and Poison look out-the-door ready in 1 coat while Orchid looks best with 2-3 coats.
Remember, Nordstrom anniversary starts on July 11th so you may want to start dialing for Dior now!

I just got off the phone a few moments ago with the lovely boutique manager of Dior Beauty in Las Vegas*. She informed me the bright, colorful and overall fun collection of polish and glosses called Dior Summer Mix, are due to launch sometime in June (approximately the 20th).
As you probably know, I adore Dior polishes so I’m anxiously awaiting the release. No official word yet on the formulation for the Ultra glosses (I sure hope there’s at least one pearl finish – they’re my favorite) but as soon as I know more, I’ll be sure to update this post.
In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come…
Left to Right: Orange Paréo, Cosmo, Gold Sunrise, Calypso, Rouge Croisiere, Acapulco, Rose Bikini, Lagoon
They yellow Acapulco and teal Lagoon have my name written all over them!
Do any of these shades tickle your fancy? I’m expecting to wear colorfully coiffed toes this summer!
