This fall, Dior is suggesting we don a smokey eye, a hint of color on cheeks, the bluest of nails and a nude lip.

I am all kinds of happy about the lipsticks in the Blue Tuxedo collection, 1) because Rouge Dior is my all-time favorite formulation from Dior and 2) I can’t get me enough nude lipstick!

This fall, I can be found wearing shades of fuschia, coral and thanks to my favorite YouTube artist, Donna Artz, I’ll also be rocking some red.  But deep down, my heart belongs to a good nude…

I picked up three of the four Rouge Dior lipsticks ($32, 0.12oz at Dior counters):

Tourbillon Pink #651 a soft warm rosy pink
•Angelique Beige #314 a light beige
•Allegro Pink #741 a warm mid-tone rose

The Rouge Dior formula is soft, creamy, has a smooth texture and wears for about three hours on me – it’s one of those formulas I enjoy applying over and over again because it feels so good on the lips.

I should point out that Rouge Dior lipsticks are on the fragrant side (not fruity or foodie) and the aroma lingers.  If you are sensitive to fragrant cosmetics these may turn you off.

Each season I impatiently (no, that’s not a typo) wait for a new Rouge Dior shade and the Blue Tuxedo collection of lippies left me looking forward to going naked this fall. ;-)

Will you be going au naturale (you know what I mean) this fall or do you prefer statement lips?

4/5 Smooches: Can you hear me slurping?

My apologies, this is just too good to enjoy quietly

From time to time I’ll be sharing a few how-to’s with you from eye looks, lip looks (my favorite so stay tuned…) and more!

However, my Beauty Black Book also includes tutorials and other creative ideas from makeup artists, style warriors and everything (or should I say everyone) in between.

Today, I wanted to share not only a fantastic way to wear the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess collection but also introduce you to a wonderful musician and artist.

I discovered Dusty Hunter by accident (as is how we often find one another on the Internet) after reading about him on the Temptalia website.  Anyway, I think at the time he was doing a comparison of MAC foundations – and a rather thorough one at that.

In late March, Dusty filmed a tutorial using the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess collection of colors but he put his own rock and roll spin on it – who knew Estee Lauder was this hip?!    (after watching Dusty’s incredible use of the eye palette I was pushed over the edge and into Nordstrom to give this collection a closer inspection).

Well, after watching Dusty’s video you’ll be head slammin’ and raising your lighters in agreeable unison (people still do that, right?).

Watch Dusty’s video below and discover a modernly cool way to wear a classic collection.  Oh, and be sure to visit his YouTube channel and send him some love (and subscribe!).
