For her most recent color collection Sue Devitt went on a nordic trek…
It’s said Sue was inspired by the contrast between the ice formations and the moss covered lava fields coupled with how the northern lights of Iceland played across the winter sky. Sounds picture perfect to me!
I can imagine how images like this one inspired Sue Devitt. The landscape closely resembles shades used in her Icelandic Fjord shadows.
Although I don’t anticipate traveling to Iceland anytime soon, Sue Devitt captured the muted tone landscape for us in her Nordic Trek collection.
•Illuminating Eye Shadow Quad Icelandic Fjord $37.50, .22oz
Four pearlescent, very well pigmented shades make up this beautiful quad:
- Deep Moss Shimmer – a intensely rich moss brown and my favorite shade of the bunch
- Glacial Aqua – a wonderful base or highlight shade of aqua green
- Arctic Blue – one of the prettiest mid-tone blues (with a slight grey base) I’ve ever owned
- Nordic Nude – the pearlescent finish makes this a stunning cream beige

•Color Luxury Lipstick $20, .07oz
This is a new lipstick formulation that touts an anti-aging and firming ingredient called Sepilift Complex. I’ve been testing these lipsticks for the past few weeks and can’t say I’ve experienced any anti-aging benefits.
What I can say is this is a hydrating formulation that feels good on the lips. Actually, it feels great! I suppose the orchid extract has something to do with it. The wear is very nice. I expected these to be on the sheer side but was surprised at the full coverage it offers.
Sue was inspired by the Autumn flowers of the lowlands for the Color Luxury Lipsticks. You can see from the photos below, she captured the red and coral tones beautifully.

Of the five shades released, I picked up:
- Vichy – a medium coral with a slight pink base
- Zambia – a deep brick shade with gold shimmer (very pretty!)
